  1. I’ll so be up for this! :]
    And for my quote.
“Yes, you’re exactly my brand of heroine.”
    I love that one.
And “Be Safe” but that’s not really much of a quote. Haha.

  2. I love how they turned out, I’ve been wanting to make these forever! Well since I just finished rereading Eclipse, here is my quote:
“I was all braced for the wrath that was going to put grizzlies to shame, and this is what I get? I should infuriate you more often.”

  3. I love these mittens! I haven’t worn mittens in years, but something about these…I’ll totally wear them!

  5. I just bought your pattern and will be picking up yarn on the way home from work today. Friends and I went to a midnight showing last night and my knitting buddy and I fell in love with the mittens. Does it mean knitting has taken over your life when you start noticing knits in movies? Especially when there are hot vampires to distract you?? Thanks so much for sharing your pattern from a fellow MN knitter.

“Ends badly?..you mean I become the meal?” Bella

  6. Awesome mittens! I’d put a quote, but I borrowed the books from a friend to read them and already gave them back. My favorite, favorite part in all the books involves Rosalie, Jacob, and the dog dish.

  9. I would love to be entered in the test knitting pool! The mittens are perfect. I’m megg87 on Rav and I can’t read so I posted over there first, haha!

I saw the movie last night and I thought it was okay. I’m going to read your review next! 🙂 When the mittens showed up on screen I concentrated just on them. Yours look very, very nice!
    —–
    “What did he *do*?”
    “He kissed me,” I growled.
All I heard on the other end of the line was the sound of an engine accelerating.
…..”Maybe you ought to take off, Jake,” [Charlie] suggested.
Eclipse, Ch. 15. Wager (p. 337) – that quote cracks me up! 🙂

  12. About one thing I am absolutely positive: I am unconditionally and irrevocably in love with these mittens! It’s not quite Forks, but North Carolina winters are definitely chilly and I could use a good warm pair of mittens.

  14. I saw Twilight last night and fell in love with Bella’s mittens during the movie. I bugged my roommates all night–especially after I found your pattern. I can’t wait to make them! 🙂

“Bella, I couldn’t live with myself if I ever hurt you. You don’t know how it’s tortured me. The thought of you, still, white, cold… to never see you blush scarlet again, to never see that flash of intuition in your eyes when you see through my pretenses… it would be unendurable. You are the most important thing to me now. The most important thing to me ever.”

  16. I learned how to knitting when I was pregnant with my daughter 20 years ago so that I could make her all that cute stuff that didn’t look that good crocheted. I still like to knit for her now when I can find something she really likes. She loves the book Twilight and was so excited about the mittens in the movie. I was so excited that she noticed them. Maybe she has a eye for the fiber arts after all. I would love to make these mittens for her for Christmas. I know that she would like to try and make them too. She wants to learn how to do cables. Please enter me in your contest.

  22. I never wear mittens but these are fabulous! I’m going to buy your pattern. I thought I was the only crazy one that noticed all the knit items in the movie. Did you notice the hat the girl in front of Edward and Bella wore in class? It was a dark purple, light purple, white and tan. I am not an amazing pattern writer like you. If you write a pattern for that, I would so buy it! Also Bella’s multi color scarf she wore while they were playing baseball.
